1. Back of the unit, you’ll see some screws, (3 on each side, total 6) unscrew them to start taking apart the unit. And when you take it apart. Be sure to go slow and gentle.

Remember the process because when you put everything back on it’s just in reverse order.

2. Now slowly peel back those black tapes (fig.1), then you’re going to want to unplug the ribbon cables. For the ribbon cable. The black slides back and then you pull the cable out. There is one that is different which you’ll have to flip up.

3. For the small circled items, those are screws you’ll need to remove. Same amount on the other side. The three larger circled in red, just remove those black tape.

4. Remove these last two cables shown below circled in red.

5. Now in front of the radio, pull the radio knobs straight out. On one side, pull the mic out as the picture shows. Then you should be able to remove the two small boards on each side.

6. Below is what it will look like once you separate the unit. Start in one corner and push the screen out. It’s just held with sticky tape. Once the screen is removed. Be sure to clean the sticky residue from the area. I used rubbing alcohol to help.

7. Put the new screen on.

8. From there, just reverse the process when installing it back.
